Hailing from Hawaiʻi, Kody Okamoto is a genderqueer Japanese-American illustrator and comic artist now living in the Pacific Northwest. They love using color, lighting, and camera angles to create cinematic moments in comic art. Their work has been published with Image, IDW Publishing, Skybound Entertainment, and has appeared on broadcast television on the pro-wrestling program AEW. When creating and drawing stories, Kody pulls inspiration from their lifelong love of manga, photography, superhero comics, and the stranglehold post-punk revival music had on them as they came of age in the early aughts.
