Cathleen McAllister is an artist and writer located in Los Angeles with a background in visual development for film, including S.C.O.O.B. (2020) and Rumble (2021). She is currently writing the first book of the Botanical Academy, a story about small-scale activism at a school for plant magic, and she enjoys painting whimsical fantasy characters and environments. In her spare time she is trying to turn a small patio into a jungle of plants. Past illustrated covers include the Seekers of the Wild Realm series by Alexandra Ott, and The Last Windwitch by Jennifer Adam (2021).
