Alondra Araujo

Alondra Araujo (She/He/They) is a comic artist from Northeast Indiana. They graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Animation and a minor in Sequential Art at the University of Saint Francis where they primarily focused on visual storytelling and developing short and long-form comics. After graduation, they were a resident at Fort Wayne’s 212, an art incubator that fostered and advocated for emerging artists and creators in the creative field. Their work often features queer Latine characters and explores themes of coming of age, friendships, cultural and diaspora identities. When they’re not working on comics, they are either hiking in one of their city's many forest trails, writing fanfiction, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe.

Amalas Rosa is an illustrator and comic artist from Germany. She loves to draw urban scenes and small slice-of-life moments and to sprinkle them with a hint of nostalgia and melancholia. Amanda Lafrenais

Amanda Lafrenais is queer jack-of-all-trades comic artist - born in Texas, now living in Chicago - with over a decade of experience under her belt spanning writing, illustrating, editing, marketing, prepress, video editing, animation, sewing, sculpting... even making terrifying puppets. Her inspirations from manga and animation are very obvious, and she’s a useless repository for Sonic the Hedgehog trivia. Amanda is currently creating the upcoming 2023 Iron Circus graphic novel “Spiral Guardian: Starry Knight.” Her expanded resume includes original comics for the Smut Peddler series, tones on three Adventure Time graphic novels, Broken Telephone by Ryan Estrada, and colorist work for Scholastic/Graphix. Not to mention her own dusty ancient webcomic, Love Me Nice. She just wants to make a lot of cute gay stories and draw people crying big sloppy Ghibli tears.

Angela Hsieh

Angela Hsieh is an illustrator and author based in Washington, DC. She enjoys making work about finding the magical in the mundane, especially if goofy animals are involved. She holds a BS in Biology from Johns Hopkins University and a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. Annabel Druissi is a science illustrator, graphic designer, and comic artist working out of White River Junction, VT. She earned her MFA in comic art at the Center for Cartoon Studies in 2023 and graduated with BAs in Neuroscience and Studio Art from Colorado College in 2020, where she wore many hats working as a lab assistant, print shop monitor, groundskeeper, wildlife hospital volunteer, art studio assistant, and dry cleaner's customer representative.

Arthur Cabezas is a trans autistic illustrator and writer for comics, games, and children’s books. He grew up in the Philippines learning to tell stories about furious queer kids with the gods and animals in his backyard. Brittany Fetcho is an illustrator, children's book designer, and comic-maker living in the Hudson Valley, New York. From a young age, she was enamored by all things spooky: Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and local urban legends and folklore were essential in influencing the creatures and stories her brain cooked up. Cathleen McAllister is an artist and writer located in Los Angeles with a background in visual development for film, including S.C.O.O.B. (2020) and Rumble (2021). She is currently writing the first book of the Botanical Academy, a story about small-scale activism at a school for plant magic, and she enjoys painting whimsical fantasy characters and environments. In her spare time she is trying to turn a small patio into a jungle of plants. Dominique Davis

Dominique Davis is a black lesbian comic artist and illustration from Virginia, she graduated from SCAD in August 2020. She has been into drawing for a really long time since she always watched a lot of cartoons and anime as a kid, she didn’t get serious about it until she got to high school but ever since then she's be trying to improve my skills so that she can tell her own stories. For her, Representation is really important since there’s going to be very few chances for her to see characters or stories that are similar to her and her life but ultimately she want to tell fun stories with exciting adventures! Elaine Tipping is a queer comic creator based in the Aichi prefecture of Japan. They’ve created and completed a number of webcomics over the years, dabbled in self publishing, studied comics in Japan, Published Princess Revolution with Scout Comics, and currently have a few ongoing webcomics (current weekly updating comics are Fates Errant, and Pathways: Chronicles of Tuvana – coming to stores 2024 via Dark Horse Comics). Jazz Groden-Gilchrist is a Canadian comic artist with a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University. Growing up as an adopted kid and only black person in his family, identity was more of a struggle for him than he realized, but he found he was able to express this through the safe distance of storytelling. He enjoys creating diverse fantasy settings that explore identity, complex familial relations, and responsibility. Jemely and Jeremy Jayme

Jemely and Jeremy Jayme are twins of the fraternal variety, but that doesn't stop them from living identical lives. Shamelessly obsessed with movies since childhood, they produced and directed their own film right out of college. This helped them realize that their true passion was not necessarily for one medium, but for the craft of storytelling in all its forms. Since then, they’ve honed their skills in illustration—a skill they believe is a universal language—so that they can better connect people through stories. Medusa is their first leap into the world of graphic novels.As freelance artists they’ve been featured in pop culture galleries and have been guests at many comic conventions throughout the US and Canada, and as writers and directors they produced an independent film. Jim Kettner

Jim Kettner, but call him Kett, is a cartoonist, illustrator, podcaster, and part time comics professor. He grew up in Westchester, New York (home of the X-Men!) but sadly failed to develop any mutant powers. He studied Illustration and Cartooning at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and after years of punk rock adventures in Brooklyn and Philly, relocated to the west coast where he received my MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts in 2013. His work has appeared in print and on the web in places like Razorcake, SF Weekly, Maximum Rock N' Roll, Travel Portland, and the As You Were punk comix anthology. His first full length graphic novel collaboration with writer Lacy Davis, Ink In Water debuted October of 2017 from New Harbinger Publications.

Josh Ulrich has been creating comics from Jacksonville Florida, since 2007. His passion for storytelling began in high school and developed into a love for making graphic novels in college. His work is usually geared towards adventure and horror, driven by funny and lovable characters. This love has led him to his current position as a storyboard artist for Fox's Bob's Burgers. He has been working in the animation industry for the last 10 years during which he has worked on shows for Adult Swim, MTV and Comedy Central. Kane Lynch is a cartoonist and illustrator based in Portland, OR. In addition to writing and drawing graphic novels for all ages, Kane's non-fiction and educational comics and illustrations have appeared on The Nib, Slate, and Psychology Today, as well as in the graphic novel Guantanamo Voices (Abrams Books, 2020). Kate McMillan is a writer and artist based in Los Angeles, CA, currently working as a visual development artist in animation. Hailing from Hawaiʻi, Kody Okamoto is a genderqueer Japanese-American illustrator and comic artist now living in the Pacific Northwest. They love using color, lighting, and camera angles to create cinematic moments in comic art. Their work has been published with Image, IDW Publishing, Skybound Entertainment, and has appeared on broadcast television on the pro-wrestling program AEW. Lily Allen is a West Indian-American illustrator, color designer, and classical vocalist who hails from the DMV area. She loves to draw characters of color with vibrant hues, and to explore themes of black intersectionality and heritage within her work. Liza Singer

Liza Singer is a non-binary Director/Story Artist/Writer for animation. Liza has spent many years not just developing and creating stories for both new and old forms of media centering narrative around found family and identity, but as part of their academic career studied the sociological and cultural impacts of narrative media on the world and is heavily passionate about using storytelling as a platform for empathy education. Mathew New is a cartoonist and illustrator currently living in Washington DC. Munette is a Filipino illustrator whose art is greatly inspired by manga and anime. She previously worked as a visualizer at an advertising agency and later pursued most of her career as an exhibitor artist in anime/comic conventions locally and internationally. Sage Cotugno is a director, writer, and storyboard artist working in animation. They graduated from Calarts in 2012 with a BFA in Character Animation and spent a semester abroad at Gobelins, L'Ecole de L'Image. In addition to creating The Glass Scientists, they have worked on Gravity Falls, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and The Owl House. Sam Benc

Samantha Benc is a queer comic maker and illustrator living in Philadelphia. She grows plants in her apartment, raises shrimp in a tank and loves physical things. Her focus and passion is on making comics, something she's been doing since she was very young and all through college where she did hand stapled zines and small runs of comics. She's working on her debut long form graphic novel right now while she continues to explore smaller projects and opportunities. Recently in her work she's been pursing themes related to our environment and relationship to it, as well as the commodification of that connection. Comics can be a space to explore some of the darker fears and anxieties of our world, and she tries and ground her work in realism while balancing cynicism with needed aspects of hopefulness and joy. She loves science fiction and surrealism especially and loves to both read and make work that examines personification and consciousness. She graduated from Art Institute of Boston in 2013 with a degree in Sequential Art and Illustration.

Sam Soto is a latino Comic Artist based in the Pacific Northwest. His work is heavily influenced by his lifelong love of anime, manga, and fantasy novels. In 2019 he graduated with an MFA in Comics from the California College of the Arts. He's recently been published in SaturdayAM, a digital monthly manga anthology that focuses on showcasing diverse creators. Currently he's working on his first Graphic Novel with his brother Lucas. Wei Nye Chen

Weinye Chen hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was born with the love of drawing. She drew on everything she could get her hands on, from the walls at home to her text books in school (sorry, mom!). She started out in graphic design. After several years in the industry, she decided to return to her initial passion in illustration. She graduated from the Academy of Arts University, San Francisco in 2015 with a BFA in Illustration, focusing on comic art, graphic novel and childrens’ books. She is the proud creator behind the slice-of-life webcomic series, “It’s Weinye”, which has now garnered over 230, 000+ followers across various social media platforms. Wes Molebash is a cartoonist in Southern Ohio. He's the author of several popular webcomics including "You'll Have That" and "MOLEBASHED."
