Mentorship Opportunity

We would like to welcome the 2021 Mentees to the ALA team!

Keir Alekseii

Keir Alekseii

Keir reads both adult and YA SFF. Her favorite niche is urban fantasy, but a good sword and sorcery, cyberpunk or space opera is just as likely to make her binge-read every book in a series. As a queer woman of color, Keir is invested in discovering engaging work with similar representation, and passionate about creating space for voices not often recognized. Her mentorship experience with ALA is Keir's first step into the publishing industry. She hopes to one day represent best-selling BIPOC authors born and raised in the Global South.

Lane Clarke is an attorney and young adult author. She is passionate about uplifting diverse voices in publishing and writes stories about Black teenagers falling in love with life. She eats dessert before dinner and can usually be found rewatching Pride & Prejudice (2005, of course). She currently resides in Northern Virginia with her cat, Pickles, and three house plants - Pogo, Babie, and Felipe.
